As part of Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, Chinmaya Mission centres across the world are uniting in devotion to host Hanuman Chalisa Havans — sacred yajnas in which the Hanuman Chalisa is chanted 108 times to invoke Shri Hanuman’s blessings for strength, courage and selfless service.
Through the power of collective chanting and sacred fire offerings, these Havans become a profound expression of spiritual commitment, cultural pride and universal oneness.

What is the 108 Hanuman Chalisa Havan?
The Hanuman Chalisa, a 40-verse hymn composed by Tulsidas, dedicated to Shri Hanuman, known for his courage and devotion to Shri Rama. In this unique event, the Chalisa is chanted 108 times, a number signifying spiritual completeness and auspiciousness in the Hindu tradition.
Why 108? It is said to represent the wholeness of existence — 1 for the self, 0 for completeness, and 8 for eternity.
The Havan (fire ceremony) is an integral part of this event, intensifying the sanctity of the chants, transforming the experience into a purifying act of devotion, offering, and inner transformation and creating a powerful atmosphere of positive energy.

Each centre will conduct a traditional Havan with 108 rounds of Hanuman Chalisa chanting, accompanied by sacred offerings and rituals.
